Dancing in Dark Skin has been a website for 2 years now and it is constantly evolving into what it is meant to be.
I have tried a lot of different approaches to try and find the right balance of what the viewers want to see and read and what I want to write and see. In the beginning I just had personal stories and narratives, which you all seemed to love.
Then I went for the less is more approach and just posted videos and pictures.
Now I am merging the two in attempts to create endless content. In this third year I want to overload you with information on dance of color. From my personal stories, dance journeys and discoveries to uncovering dance legends of the past, present, and future.
I will also be practicing my dance critique skills because we need more African American critics in the world to judge our art.
So expect dance videos and history videos about dance from the past, present and future. Expect written dance critiques. Expect stories of black dancers and choreographers about inspiration, struggles, and basically everything we can think of that is dancing in dark skin. Expect tips, tricks, and how to’s on how you can become a better dancer, choreographer and artist.
Become amerced in Dancing in Dark Skin and you will not regret it.
Comment and become apart of the discussion! We would love to hear from you!
