Ciara Dianne Jones is a dancer, choreographer, actress and singer. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan she began taking classes in ballet, tap and jazz at age 5. Ciara received her Bachelor of Arts from Spelman College in 2017 where she majored in drama with a concentration in dance. While attending college, Ciara was a member of Spelman Dance Theatre for 4 years. Ciara was the first student choreography fellow at Spelman College in 2017. During her fellowship she developed “I Am Adam”, an original work inspired by Michelangelo’s frescos in Sistine Chapel. This piece premiered on March 31, 2017 at Spelman College’s Dance Lab, alongside the works of Spelman Dance faculty. While in Atlanta, Ciara has danced in original works by Paul Carter Harris, Dianne McIntyre, Aku Kadogo, T. Lang, and Victor Rojas. Ciara has been seen in the Atlanta Lyric Theatre’s production of Beauty and the Beast (2017), Miracle on 34th Street the Musical at the Fireside Theatre in Wisconsin (2017), Disney Cruise Line through Spring (2017-2019), Dreamgirls International Tour (2019-2020), All Shook Up at Westchester Broadway Theatre (2020). While attending a historically black college I constantly learned more about my heritage and how important black presence is needed in the dance world and the world in general. This website is the continuation of that education. View all posts by Ciara Dianne Jones
